The loudness curve is very well implemented on this amp and especially what I like is that it adds bass, but also reduces HF at 10kHz by 3dB! Ohm impedance also means that headphone output impedance should be kept under 1 Ohm, however, the impedance peak at K712 Pro’s self-resonance is so low, that audible coloration shouldn’t occur.There are a lot of tense moments in the film with more complex musical scores than you would think; especially with a headphone like the K712. I wouldn’t go ape sh** over it though, as the “Power-Hungry” claim parroted by everyone and their Grandma over the last 5-10 years is a bit overdone like.
Having replaceable cable is no doubt pro, earpads that get easily is a pro as your head won't get sweaty after hours of listening but comes at a cost of replacements when earpads get dirty.The headphone is very pinpoint accurate and due to its lightweight design at around 240g, it can be worn indefinitely and easily for hours if need be during your late-night gaming sessions. The K712 uses a 3pin Mini XLR jack, so unfortunately balanced operation is impossible out of the box. The pads are plush velour filled with memory foam, they do not cause hot spots or get sweaty for me and conform as expected. Some frequency range differences were noticeable and overall was clearer than before, but the big difference was the wider sound stage.
