The 4K video image with HDR looks amazing and the Dolby Atmos audio mix sounds perfect and demo-worthy.

While entertaining and scary, it lacks the depth, innovation, and enduring appeal that would place it among the genre's greats. In Evil Dead Rise, the action moves out of the woods and into the city, and tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable. Once Ellie is possessed, Cronin straps us in, take the brakes off and hits the gas, never taking his foot off until the very end and its riotously entertaining.

aspect ratio that also utilises 10-bit video depth, WCG and HDR10 only, all of which has been encoded using the HEVC/H. Hab ihn mir gestern angesehen und war eher enttäuscht, hatte mir mehr gewünscht/vorgestellt - mehr im Sinne von "Evil Dead".

Make-up and VFX are put to brilliant use as some very grievous bodily harm is dished out with an almost maniacal euphoria and its tone falls somewhere between the Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Home Alone, the pitch-black humour coming from the outrageous situations Cronin places his victims…sorry, characters in.
